Dr. Larry (Jiancun) Zhang obtained his PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh and completed his postdoctoral fellow at Duke University. He joined Gilead Sciences in 1992 as one of the early scientists, where he focused on the research, development and management of antiviral, anticancer and antisense nucleic acid drugs, Dr. Zhang has been instrumental in leading the research and development of several globally successful blockbuster antiviral medications. He has authored over 90 papers and has filed for more than 100 patents in the field of biomedicine.

The co-founders have extensive experience working in leading international pharmaceutical companies such as Gilead, Pfizer, Teva, FDA. With a deep involvement in the pharmaceutical industries of both China and the US for many years, they possess international industry insights and expertise in innovative drug research and development, global registration, and commercialization. They have played key roles in the development of several globally successful blockbuster drugs.
