Description: Biotin-11-dUTP is used in various non-radioactive DNA labeling reactions widely, Includes nick panning, random primer labeling, 3’end labeling or enzymatic embedding of DNA during PCR. Hybridized biotinylated DNA probes can be detected by anti-biotin protein and streptavidin anti-biotin protein. The number '11' is the number of carbon atoms in the main chain of the joint between dUTP and biotin. The longer the junction, the more effective the interaction between biotin and anti-biotin proteins. On the other hand, the shorter the junction, the more efficiently dUTP is incorporated into DNA.
Biotin-11-dUTP is commonly used for PCR, nick translation, as well as reverse transcription. It is also suitable for apoptosis assays.
